Dear Patients of Sunset ID CARE,

In response to the novel coronavirus or COVID-19, Sunset ID Care is working diligently to ensure the maximum safety of our patients and staff. Like the rest of the world, we continue to monitor the COVID-19 developments. Following guidelines set forth from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO), we are confident in the precautionary measures and response plans we have established.

We have reviewed our clinic continuity plans and do not anticipate any scenario that would impair our ability to treat our patients. While we do not believe panic is in any way warranted, we do wish to practice community-conscious medicine and protect each other and our patients from this virus (as well as flu or any other communicable infectious disease).

For patients with follow up visits, we are seeing those with immediate concerns on a case by case basis.

At this time, we are only allowing the patient into the treatment/consult rooms. No other guests will be allowed.

Once you arrive at our office and check-in at the front desk, we will ask you to please wait in your vehicle until being notified via phone call.

All patients’ temperatures will be taken upon arrival. If a low-grade fever is recorded, we will happily reschedule your appointment. Any patients with recent travel will be asked to reschedule their appointment.

Helpful tips to stay healthy for this outbreak and during and cold/flu season:
• Avoid touching your face, particularly your eyes, nose and mouth.
• Wash your hands often and thoroughly.
• Cover your coughs and sneezes with your elbow
• Avoid crowded places where infection is more likely to spread
Thank you for choosing Sunset ID Care. We look forward to continuing to provide you with the best care possible! Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions.
Sincerely,
Ogechika Alozie, MD MPH AAHIVM
Medical Director
